Over 1,400 people attended the two-day event which offered not only employment opportunities, but also further education placements, training and self-employment. While most visitors were from the Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales areas, some came from as far afield as Nottingham, London, Germany and Sweden.
Visitors were also given the opportunity to attend free seminars covering topics such as how to write a winning CV and how to set up in business, as well as tips on how to dress for success. These seminars were so well-attended that extra sessions had to be organised.
The career and job openings catered for a whole range of ages and experience levels and organisations such as Marks & Spencers Financial Services, the Nationwide Building Society, Boots, Toys R Us and McDonalds were actively recruiting during the two days.
