A HAT-TRICK of headers by Jason Pakenham helped Dock cruise to a 6-0 win over Bebington RAFA in the Houlihan's Memorial Challenge Cup third round, on Sunday. Gary Raey, Phil Nugent and Mike Saunders completed the scoring.

A Brian Connolly goal was enough to give Rock Ferry victory over Parkside, while KEL beat Bromborough Hotel 3-2. Steve Aspinall hit his fifth hat-trick of the season as Brow beat Tranmere Vics 4-0. Another 4-0 win belonged to Queens over SDV. Damien Lepts, with a hat-trick, and Mike Riley did the damage.

Gareth McEvoy went one better, netting four times as Halfway Veterans beat Wirral Villa 8-4, while 17-year-old striker Phil Lavell netted a superb hat-trick in Archers Social's 9-2 win over FC Abbey.

In the Wirral Amateur Cup, Civic Way were 2-1 winners over Harvest thanks to goals from Andy Jones and Ian Carpenter. Horse & Jockey also overcame Beechwood in a nine-goal thriller, Shane Hill and Mark O'Brien each hitting a brace.
