WEST Kirby Sailing Club had a 31-strong turnout on the Marine Lake for their latest dinghy Frostbite series races. GP 14s dominated in the Frost section, with Mal Jones in Tiff winning ahead of Martin Hartley and Pete Johnson. The slow fleet was headed by Georgina Corlett in a Cadet.
Dee Sailing Club finished their tidal racing for the season. Jim Douglas secured three wins in the Darts and Ian Blair was a hat-trick scorer in the handicap dinghies.
Peter Briggs scored twice in the Lasers and Rod Gray once.
Liverpool Yacht Club (Marina) had 27 yachts out on the Mersey, including several Wirral crews. Leyland Morris headed the Offshore fleet in Outrageous, ahead of Neil Thomas in Paranoah. The LBSA group was taken by Jim Connell in Scenario Act II, with Artful Dodger (Tom Varley) the runner-up.
