NEW headquarters of the 1st West Kirby Scout Group was officially opened on Sunday by the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Alan Waterworth.
The opening of the headquarters at Grange Cemetery, Lang Lane, West Kirby, represents the culmination of three years' work.
1st West Kirby Scout Group is one of the oldest in Wirral, being originally formed in 1909. Mr Waterworth was accompanied by the County Commissioner for Merseyside Scouts, Mr Ian Chapman, and the District Commissioner for West Wirral, Mr Malcolm MacLeod. Wirral West MP Stephen Hesford attended.
