POOR performances by Birkenhead-based Park Foods and Everton Football Club continue to put pressure on one of Birkenhead's richest men, Peter Johnson.
Park Foods announced 'first half' losses of £6.2m on Friday, his fried, flavoured chips suffering a non-oven ready image in the market.
Then Mr Johnson, who is also chairman of Everton, went from the frying pan into the firing line after bottom of the Premiership Everton were beaten at home by lowly Tottenham.
However, he remains optimistic that Park Foods' performance will improve while stating, once more, that he is not about to quit Everton.
