CHESTER Catherdral hosts Manchester Boys' Choir on Saturday evening for a concert in aid of Claire House Children's Hospice, now being built at Clatterbridge.

Appeals director Hilary Holden hopes there will be a big audience as money to pay for the hsopice and run it is still a priority.

HUNDREDS of children will be lovingly remembered in a special ceremony at Liverpool Cathedral on Tuesday evening, December 9. The candle service at the Anglican Cathedral is for anyone ever affected by the death of a child.

WIRRAL'S Mayor and Mayoress attend the Leukaemia Fund Trust annual concert at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Friday evening, December 5, while the Deputy Mayor attends the NSPCC Carol Concert at St Alban's Church, Wallasey.

WEST Wirral Lions' Christmas fair is at Moreton Youth Club, Pasture Road, on Saturday afternoon, December 6. Money raised at stalls will support local charities. West Wirral Lions are also collecting outside supermarkets for Christmas hampers for pensioners in the Woodchurch, Moreton, West Kirby and Hoylake areas.

CAPRICCO Singers give a Christmas Concert at Manor Church Centre, corner of Seabank Road, Wallasey, from 7.45pm on Friday, December 5. Organised by Wallasey Circuit Carol Network, there will be coffee and mince pies. Tranmere Methodist Church has a concert the same night, starting at 7.30pm, when Westminster Singers present Music for Christmas.
