'HAVE none for the road' is the theme to Wirral motorists of the Department of Environment, Transport and the Region's Christmas drink drive campaign launched yesterday.

The Merseyside regional campaign is being launched by Government Office for Merseyside Regional Director Dennis Morrison, Merseyside Chief Constable Sir James Sharples and local road safety officials.

The Christmas drink drive campaign is being targeted at young men and is being backed by a powerful new national television, radio and poster campaign accusing motorists of deceiving themselves if they think they can drive safely after drinking.

Merseyside Police Christmas campaign includes 'Operation Nemesis' aimed at drivers under the influence of both drink and drugs.
