From Concerned Parents:- AS parents of children who attend SS Peter and Paul Primary School, Atherton Street, New Brighton we are increasingly concerned about the appalling condition of the junior playground.
The school itself is a super little school, which rightly boasts a glowing OFSTED report to be proud of. Sadly, the main criticism of the report highlights the condition of the junior playground surface. Its uneven and damaged surface represents a real danger to the children who play there, particularly to children who suffer poor motor skills.
We understand that the headteacher has highlighted her concerns with the local authority in a bid to obtain funds to carry out necessary repairs but has been unsuccessful.
We want our children to be able to play safely. Something must be done before there is a serious accident.
