From Mrs E. Galtress:- ON Monday, November 24 at approximately 2pm, my beloved cat was knocked down and killed outside my house by a speeding motorist. I would like to thank the elderly lady who on realising that we were not at home, informed my neighbours of the incident and had noted that my cat had ran up our driveway. The car in question had not stopped and had continued at speed up the road.
On finding my cat, my neighbours discovered she had already died of her injuries. I am devastated at the loss of my cat as she was bought for me soon after I lost my fist child three years ago. I am currently eight months pregnant and do not need this kind of distress or anger.
Daily we hear the morons speeding up and down Waterpark Road without a care or thought for man nor beast, and so to that uncaring idiot who killed my cat I would like to say: "Thank you for not stopping to see what injuries your careless and reckless driving did to my cat, thank you for not even having the decency to call later in the day to see if the cat was okay or not and finally thank you for the heartache you have caused.'
I hope you read this letter and the implications stay with you forever because I know the heartache you have caused me will take a long time to heal and I for one will never ever forgive you."
