New Brighton's backroom team was buzzing after Saturday's success against Blackburn, demonstrating the club's strength in depth, but perhaps more significant was the Blues' Second XV's efforts away to Anselmians First XV. The youngsters, seasoned with some older heads, were edged out by the odd point 20-21.
Key in the line-up making his New Brighton debut was Rob Bienaisz, an exciting North of England Colts prop. Rob and Jamie Jobling line up for North Colts next week in the representative game against New South Wales Under-19s.
