WIRRAL people are being urged to give a life-saving 'present' this Christmas - blood.
"Christmas is generally a time when regular donors forget or simply have other commitments and we would like to ensure that this year is problem free," said a spokesman for The National Blood Service.
Blood donor sessions are being held on Wirral this month as follow:-
Monday, December 22 - Methodist Church Hall, Greasby Road, Greasby (2pm-4pm and 5.30pm-7.30pm); Mobile Donating Unit outside Sainsbury's, Prenton, Birkenhead (9.30am-11.45am and 1.30pm-3.30pm).
Tuesday, December 23 - Mobile Donating Unit at Wallasey Town Hall (9.30am-11.45am and 1.30pm-3.30pm).
Wednesday, December 24 - The Grosvenor Ballroom, Grosvenor Street, Liscard (10am-1pm); Mobile Donating Unit, Catherine Street, Birkenhead (9.30am-1pm).
Saturday, December 27 - Mobile Donating Unit outside ASDA, Bromborough (9.30am-11.45am and 1.30pm-3.30pm).
Tuesday, December 30 - The Grosvenor Ballroom, Grosvenor Street, Liscard (2pm-4pm and 5.30pm-7.30pm).
Wednesday, December 31 - Harrison Hall, Harrison Drive, Wallasey Village (10am-12noon and 2pm-4.15pm); Mobile Donating Unit outside Tesco, Bidston Moss (9.30am-11.45am and 1.30pm-3.30pm).
