RABBIT lovers Nadine Ashton and Chris Davis have so many rabbits they don't know what to do! They have at least 160 bunnies and it is not funny. Numbers keep increasing all the time.
The bunny bonanza has been caused by people handing in pregnant pets at the animal rescues, run by Nadine and Chris, at their respective homes, in Heswall and Hoylake.
"We want homes for them, especially the little ones. They make lovely pets, but remember a rabbit is for life and not just Christmas!" say Nadine and Chris, seen clutching Louise and Butch.
"The buck seems to stop here!"
The rabbits - plus a large number of guinea pigs - eat sacks full of food and bales of straw each week. "Individually or as a pair, rabbits make beautiful pets and we offer free family planning advice!" says Wirral's bunny girls, who run their shelters as a charity. The rabbits are free to good homes, with a donation invited to feed the rest.
