PLANS are already well under way for the 1998 Heswall Festival on the theme of 'Heswall Past, Present and Future', running for a week from July 4.
Carnival Saturday starts the fun with a procession of floats and bands to a fair on the Puddydale and ending with a concert in Heswall Hall. On Sunday there will be a united church service.
During the week many planned events include concerts, drama productions, poetry readings, exhibitions of art and crafts, a gardeners' question time, a balloon race, film shows, dance and fitness displays and a window display competition.
On the last Saturday, a Fun Day is planned on the Puddydale followed by an evening event.
