A ROCK Ferry resident is warning people to keep a close eye on their animals after her cat was the victim of a brutal knife attack.
Sabrina McGraa's seven-year-old tabby cat Tigger suffered a six-inch knife wound in his stomach - but is expected to survive. Tigger was out for the night on Thursday, but when he came back the following morning, he was in a very sorry state with blood pouring from an open wound.
Tigger was taken straight to the vet in New Ferry, where the animal was treated and the wound stitched.
Said Sabrina: "I don't know how anybody could do a thing like this to cats and animals in general. Tigger is still very poorly but we are going to keep him indoors and keep a close eye on him."
