Test drive by Steve Hunter
VAUXHALL'S Frontera, is a 4x4 that drives like a car!
With saloon car comfort, the Frontera is easy to drive and manoeuvre, whether you're cruising down country lanes or driving long distance on the motorway.
I took a used Special Edition Vauxhall Frontera 2.4i five-door Glacier from Arrowebrook Motors, Upton. With full service history, this M-Registration (1995) dark green Frontera has 43,000 miles on the clock, and is available for £10,995.
Features include full leather interior, new style bull bar, five spoke alloys, five-speed manual gearbox, two or four-wheel drive format, power steering, electric windows all round, sunroof, electric mirrors, adjustable seats and height adjustable steering wheel, headlamp range adjustment, ABS braking system, and a fantastic top of the range CD system with radio and surround sound!
Now having a CD in-car entertainment system can create drawbacks, when the chosen track jumps when you are driving. However with this special edition Frontera Glacier, I was pleasantly surprised that my Oasis CDs certainly stood the test.
An added feature of the Frontera is the anti-theft central locking with alarm system.
4x4s like the Frontera spoil you with their saloon car comforts but Arrowebrook Motors have full knowledge of the capabilities of such vehicles off the road. They will be pleased to advise and discuss your needs.
This limited edition Frontera was an absolute dream to drive, and it is available from Arrowebrook Motors, Arrowe Park Road, Upton. Arrowebrook Motors have a varied range of used 4x4s, from Toyota Landcruisers to Suzukis, Shoguns and Discoverys. Contact Sales Manager Paul Smith on 677-2312.
