EMMA GREENWOOD, a 17-year-old French horn layer from Heswall, has been chosen for the third year to join the ranks of the National Youth Orchestra.
Emma will join 153 other talented youngsters for three residential courses during the New Year, Easter and Summer holidays of 1998, culminating in performances in the finest concert halls at home and abroad.
The first of these will be at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall on January 5 - tickets are available from the box office on 709-3789.
A former pupil at Birkenhead High School, Emma is now studying for A Levels in Music, Religious Studies and the History of Art at Malvern Girls' College.
