PLANS for a 20 metre high mast, control cabin and access track at Greasby Copse, off Barker Lane, Greasby, have already sparked off controversy. Concerned people living in the area contacted the Globe over rumours that a mast is to be built.
We can confirm plans have gone into Wirral planning department, Town Hall Annexe, Brighton Street, Wallasey, application number APP/19998/5749/D, comments in writing by June 25. The application is a departure from the current planning policy of Wirral Council which shows the site for nature conservation and within the Green Belt.
