From R. Collins:-

WITH regard to the proposed £150m Ocean Dome at New Brighton I note that it has been acknowledged that funding has to be acquired, plus the backing of the people of New Brighton and Wallasey.

I am very pleased for the people of New Brighton, Liscard, Birkenhead etc for having acquired millions of pounds to be spent on their areas.

It would be foolish to assume traders and residents of Wallasey Village, and immediate areas, would wholeheartedly agree to this amount of money being spent in New Brighton, when we have many problems in our own area, such as:-

1) Boarded up shops in the village.

2) Traffic on Grove Road makes it almost impossible to cross, traffic lights are needed.

3) Cracked, dirty pavements.

We appear to be a section of the community forgotten. No-one cares, including the council. Why is there no cash for Wallasey Village?

We are expected to welcome droves of cars, people, throughout our area, when the front is closed off, plus litter left behind.

We are now in a run down, slum area. So, if we are not dancing with joy at other areas obtaining so much money, understand why.
