From Lynne Dwyer:-

IT is important that our opportunity to purchase Duty Free goods is not withdrawn.

Many people look forward to buying Duty Free when they travel by boat or aeroplane and the luxury of having things they wouldn't normally be able to afford.

Duty free sales and tax free sales make a huge contribution towards the cost of air and sea transport and without it the cost will go up and up.

Popular holidays like Spain, Portugal and Greece will be extremely expensive if Duty Free is abolished within the EU.

If people don't buy duty free, local staff at airports etc will lose their jobs, which will lead to less money beng spent on local goods.

The loss of duty free could well mean the closure of some favourite holiday routes. The cross channel ferry routes, especially, will suffer. Any fares that do remain will increase significantly.

All in all, the loss of Duty Free would mean dire consequences for everyone's future travel and holidays.

I have written to MPs about this as well and hope all people will rally together and get writing letters to stop this from happening.
