BEBINGTON High School pupil, Michael West, aged 13, has won a Best Junior Actor award at the Greater Manchester Drama Festival for the second year running.

The promising young thespian is a member of the Wirral Hospital Drama Group and has appeared in their last five pantomimes.

Michael, who lives in Birkenhead with his parents and two brothers, also auditioned for television's 'There's Only One Jimmy Grimwold' last Friday - so here's hoping we see him on the silver screen soon.
