HOPING to follow in the footsteps of Wirral's Olympic gold medal cyclist Chris Boardman is 16-year-old Mark Baker, the new Merseyside Junior Road Race Champion.
Mark, from Heswall, won the 52-mile British Cycling Federation Merseyside, Manchester, Lakeland and Lancashire Divisional Road Race Championship by a massive three-and-a-half minutes - and that is no mean feat in a cycle race.
