ELLESMERE Port Police Forum was held at Neston Town Hall where concerns over the Chester High Road were once again raised.
Issues raised at the last forum in February concerning the speed limits on the road were rejected by the Police, so once again campaigners like Pauline Fielding, whose son Andrew died on the road at Neston, raised their fears about the safety of the road.
Prior to the meeting, Mrs Fielding said: "I will ask the police if they have any further considerations with regards to the A540.
"At the last forum, proposals for a reduction from 70mph to 60mph on the dual carriageway part of the road and from 60mph to 50mph on the single carriageway were rejected."
For Mrs Fielding these speed limits are still not low enough.
She says: "Problems still remain on the Chester High Road, there are still too many accidents on this particular road and indeed Wirral in general."
