WIRRAL Summer Green Fayre, the highlight of the area's environmental calendar, is at Arrowe Park, on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 & 5.
Organisers hope the weekend will be packed with interesting, alternative, and sustainable ideas, products and people!
With more than 100 stalls (crafts, charities, books, ethnic ware, plants), there will be something to interest everyone. Main features include The Small Top Circus, alternative therapy marquee, a make-your-own instrument and junk band, native American tipis and crafts, the Co-Operative Orchestra, performing poets, the Los Cestrianos pipe band, face painting, bouncy castle and supervised activities for the children.
The two-day event is renowned for its 'feelgood' factor and always attracts thousands of people. It has been run since 1985 by local environmental charity Wirral Green Alliance with support from Co-operative. To contact the organisers call 512-8586.
Entrance is free and visitors are encouraged to come by 'green' means - bus, bike or on foot. Car parking is available at £1 a time.
