WIRRAL hospital staff have been praised by 3,500 patients for their courtesy and friendly manner in a recent survey.
The poll, put to patients attending Arrowe Park, Clatterbridge and Victoria Central Hospitals, found that clinic staff were helpful, reassuring and quick to respond to problems. The standard of service received a boost with 99 per cent of patients complimenting staff.
A small number of complaints concerning car parking facilities, particularly at Arrowe Park, were received, as well as complaints concerning waiting times and the cancellation of appointments.
Despite this, Paul Holt, the Wirral Hospital NHS Trust director of operations and chief nurse commended his staff for their dedication.
