NINE-year-old Hayley Parker, a Year 5 pupil at Prenton Junior School, has won the Merseyside Schools' Under-11 Girls' Table Tennis Championship.
She won the title at New Ferry Village Hall without dropping a set - in what was her first ever competitive contest!
Hayley, who only took up the sport less than a year ago - she is now a keen member of the school table tennis team - is now training hard to represent Merseyside in the English Schools' National Championships in Birmingham on May 1.
