Sunday clubs go goal crazy . . .

POULTON Royal went goal crazy in the Premier Division of the Wallasey & District Sunday League, firing 16 goals past bottom club Gorsedale without reply. Dave McShane, 5, Darren Murphy, 4, Scott Jamieson, 3, were among the scorers.

Great Float Social were also goal hungry as they beat The Leasowe 10-3 with goals from Carl Howell, 3, Rob Gerrard, 2, Elliott Sutton, 2, Kevin Pink, Andy Bell and an own goal.

Division one side 27 Club romped home 10-1 against division two opponents Manville in the Dutchman Cup first round. Mark Yates, 3, and Dave Harrison, 2, were among the scorers.

Boot Inn (John Deakin, Sean Cassidy, Mark Hackett and an own goal) also progressed into the second round with a 4-1 win over Vicky Lodge.

A goal apiece from Mark Galor and Tony Wright gave Horizon a 2-0 victory over Old Bank in the only Magee Cup first round match to take place.
