GOING, going, gone! That's what members of Bebington Soroptimist Club hope will be the outcome of a fundraising event with a difference.
They are holding an Auction of Promises on Tuesday, March 16, when more than 50 lots will come under the hammer, to raise money for the Wirral Resource Centre and Toy Library.
The event, being held at Bebington High School in Higher Bebington Road, includes a wide range of gifts donated for the auction.
They include holidays, meals at restaurants, wine, theatre tickets, cameras, gift vouchers and entrance to local attractions.
A spokesperson said they were hoping for the best bids for lots to boost funds and make the event a real success.
Apart from having the chance to buy, visitors to the auction can also have personal items valued by an experienced assessor. This costs £1, which is again in aid of Wirral Resource Centre and Toy Library.
Auctioneer for the evening is John Crane, of Cato Crane & Company, and viewing of lots starts at 6.45pm, with the auction getting underway at 7.30pm.
The £1 admission includes a catalogue and light refreshments.
Members of Bebington Soroptimists thank all donors of lots for their generosity and support.
