COUNCILLORS meet tomorrow night to consider a cutback of £2m in Lairdside Regeneration Funding by English Partnerships. This, with other cutbacks in funding, will 'have serious implications on the orginal timetable for progressing Tranmere Urban Village and Marine Lake Development'. The 'knock-on' effects will also be considered.
Councillors will also be told of Cammell Laird's healthy order books for 1999 and hopes that the building of new aircraft carriers may be based at the GEC Cammell Laird site.
