A UNIVERSITY student from Wirral looks set to break all personal records only a year after breaking his back in two places!
Richard Hitch, 20, suffered a horrific snow-boarding accident in Les Arcs, France, last February. Unbelievably, he is now training for the 1999 Flora London Marathon.
After the accident Richard, who lives in Greasby, was flown home and rushed to Arrowe Park Hospital. Eight weeks later, he was able to return to his Building Surveying course at the University of Northumbria.
He hopes to raise £1,500 towards the cost of a lightweight wheelchair for the charity Whizz-Kidz!
Richard (Tel: 677-1414) is looking for individual and business sponsorship to help him reach his target.
