MICHAEL George Boardman, aged 39, of Birchfield Close, Moreton, was conditionally bailed until April 6 for committal proceedings by Wirral magistrates.
He faces two charges of rape on a woman at Moreton, opening a postal packet contrary to duty when an officer of the Post Office, and retaining, secreting or detaining letters which were in the course of transmission.
He must reside at a new address not disclosed in court and must keep away from certain areas including Moreton Cross.
