CARLSBERG WEST CHESHIRE FOOTBALL LEAGUE by Ray Condliffe
INCLEMENT weather once again played havoc with the Carlsberg West Cheshire League. In the only Division One encounter, Poulton Victoria won a disappointing match against Stork 1-0, courtesy of a Scott Taylor penalty.
Last week, Vics saw Wembley dreams disappear when they were knocked out of the national Carlsberg Pub Cup 2-0 by St Aloysius.
Saturday's Division Two programme saw Heswall Reserves (Gareth Whittle, 2, Jamie Griffiths, 2, Dave Whitcombe) beat Shell Reserves 5-0. New Brighton (Kevin Tottey, 2, Steve Hilditch, Mike Connors) beat Christleton Reserves 4-0.
