THE DUKE of Kent is in Birkenhead tomorrow to visit the born-again Cammell Laird yard, then meet apprentices to open the nearby Laird Foundation Centre.
The Duke will complete his tour of Lairdside at historic 12th-century Birkenhead Priory.
The Duke is likely to be told that Wirral Council plans to site a plaque at the Priory in memory of those who died on June 1, 1939, aboard the Birkenhead-built submarine Thetis.
