Brainwashed is a bittersweet collection of tracks lost deep in the theme of spiritualism and woven through gentle Rock & Roll, Blues, and slide guitar.
George died in November before the album could be finished, but it rarely sounds incomplete. There are no standout tracks but more of a flowing journey to the powerful title song at the end of the album.
If any artist's contribution to music has ever been woefully underestimated, its George Harrison's. While Lennon and McCartney soak up the credit George has released some of the best post-Beatles material.
You never know what you've got until its gone.
