BIG-TIME American wrestling comes to the Liverpool Empire Theatre later this month - and the Globe's younger readers have a chance to win a VIP ticket to meet their idols.
An essential item for any American wrestling fan is to take along a banner supporting their favourite ring star. All-Star Wrestling, the organiser of October 27's event, is giving local young fans aged 16 and under the chance to design and show off their own poster or banner.
Three youngsters who produce and display the best banners will each receive a VIP Backstage pass to go behind the scenes to meet and be photographed with their favourite personalities at the end of the evening. Among those taking part in the bout are the American Demolition Squad, 3' 5"-inch tall Little Legs and Fearless Flatliner.
The show's promoter, Brian Dixon, explains: "We will be watching around the hall all evening and the best three poster creators will be called to the ringside to receive passes to meet the wrestlers afterwards."
To be in with a chance of meeting your favourite wrestling stars, all you have to do is take along your poster or banner and wave it with pride during the contest.
The action starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster on 0870 606 3536.
