PLEASE add our condolences to Jenny Williamson's family.
Could I, however, express my concern that I can see other tragedies happening in the future caused by the growing increase in car use and ownership among younger drivers.
My own experience relates to the Cross Lane area of Bebington, where I almost daily witness appalling acts of driving at school closure time.
Some are students at local schools - I have seen some emerging from Wirral's 6th form car park - but most are 'visitors' arriving to impress their mates or the girls. Combine the half-hour of general traffic chaos with reckless driving and it is a disaster waiting to happen.
I am quite sure that this is a problem at other schools as well across Wirral. Where are Tony's record number of policemen?
