TWO young men tied up a neighbour and subjected him to a humiliating ordeal, a court has heard.
After tying his arms and feet with ropes one of them, Michael Dee, used electric shears to shave his hair into a mohican cut.He then kicked the victim, Peter Sullivan, said Andrew Sinker, prosecuting.
They pulled him to the communal landing of the flats in Ashville Road, Wallasey, and tied him to the railings.
He was kicked and cold water was poured over him and the two men left. After half-an-hour he managed to struggle free..
Mr Sinker told Liverpool Crown Court that the incident happened after Mr Sullivan returned to his flat about 10pm on October 14, last year.
The court heard that the other man has already been dealt with for the same offence and sentenced to 240 hours' community punishment.
Dee, who has no previous convictions, was sentenced to 240 hours' community punishment.
Paul Becker, defending, said that Dee saw the victim's reaction and realised they had gone too far and called the next day and genuinely apologised. He was thoroughly ashamed of his actions, he said.
