DIVISION One club Vanser made amends for their defeat the previous week as they claimed maximum points from their clash with AC Brookley in the Birkenhead & Wirral A.F. Football League, on Saturday.
Dave Cullen struck twice as Vanser recorded a 2-1 win. Brookley's consolation strike came from Ryan Innes.
Parkfield BA failed to make it two wins in a row as they crashed to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sea Dog. Tony Murphy netted for Parkfield, but it was all in vain as Sea Dog strolled to maximum points.
SA Barbarians found themselves 2-0 up after just 10 minutes against Shillings, thanks to goals from Joe Rogers and Matty Holmes. However Shillings fought back and took the points with a 4-2 victory.
In Division Two, Bird in Hand maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a well-deserved win over Arrowe Park. The Bird came out top in a 10-goal thriller to claim the points, thanks to two strikes by Carl Owens and a goal apiece from Paul Hawkins, Michael Friel, Carl Williamson and an absolute stunner from skipper Mark Howell, who found the net with a brilliant top corner drive.
Kenny Murphy, Steve James, Darren Eaton and Mark King all netted for Arrowe.
