WITH regards to your story 'Fear of Racial Attacks' (Globe, October 6), may I point out that the mosque already has a CCTV system and there is a camera on a tall pole at the junction of Whetstone Lane and Borough Road, which almost faces the mosque.
The cost of installing a third CCTV system could be better spent, like stopping the closure of two wards for the elderly at Arrowe Park.
Inspector Simon Irving said any incidents near the mosque would be treated firmly and robustly. It would be nice to see him dealing with yobs and junkies and drug dealers just the same way.
