OXTON Hockey Club men's first team continued their inconsistent start to the season, on Saturday, with a 7-0 win over Southport.
Oxton took the lead following a surging run by Nik Hayes, who found Gordon Moore unmarked and he easily finished. Moore then added a second. Oxton continued to press and Chris Martin converted a short corner to give them a 3-0 half-time lead.
The second-half continued with Oxton dominating and Moore soon completed his hat-trick.
Oxton completed the rout with goals by Ollie Logan, captain Richard Sutton and Liam Hennessey.
