BOASTING the only 100 per cent record in the Wirral Sunday League Premier Division, Salisbury Stiles have made a belated start to their league programme. But on Sunday they made it three out of three after efforts from Steve McShane and Gary Potter clinched a 2-1 result over ADS Graphics.
Chris Cartwright netted for Graphics, but it wasn't enough to stop his side from slipping into the bottom two (writes Rob James).
Three-goal Mark Ellison left his calling card as Phoenix triumphed 4-1 at Allport, Dave Prandle also making the scoresheet in the 4-1 romp, with Dave Kerr hitting Allport's consolation.
Tony Taylor made a welcome return to Lancelyn's fold and, along with young Mike McGraa, 2, weighed in with the goals to set up a 3-1 victory over former leaders Cat. Elsewhere, Sportsman's had Davie Watterson, Lee Farrell and Kevin Downey to thank for their goals in the 3-3 nail-biter with Pollards Inn.
There was no stopping Martin Reeve, who cracked in five goals for 27 Club as the Wallasey side breezed home 7-3 against Halfway House in Division One. Dave Berry and John Blythe were the other scorers, while Old House continued their climb up the table after beating fourth-placed PSI to register their second win of the season.
