A Christmas-themed Oxton Village open market will be held next weekend.

Taking place at Oxton Cricket Cricket Club on Sunday, December 8, from 10am-4pm, it promises 30 'fantastic stalls'. Shoppers can expect 'a wide range of unique gifts', jewellery, ceramics, fashion, accessories, hot food, mulled wine and cider, festive drinks, crepes, live music, and even a Christmas choir.

It promises to be a festive day out for all the family.

A spokesperson for the organising team told the Globe: "Since its launch, the Oxton Village Market has been a resounding success, warmly supported by the local community and businesses.

"This monthly event has grown into a vibrant fixture, showcasing some of the finest artisan producers and attracting visitors from all Wirral, Liverpool, Chester, and beyond.

"The organisers work tirelessly to ensure every market offers something new and exciting, creating a welcoming atmosphere that continues to draw crowds from near and far."

The first ever monthly market in Oxton Village event took place in July and was branded a 'roaring success' by organisers.

The final market of 2024 will take place on Sunday, December 22 at its usual venue, the RAFA Club on Shrewsbury Road, offering the perfect opportunity for locals to stock up on fresh produce ahead of the big day.

The organising team spokesperson added: "Don’t miss these festive markets - come along to support local businesses, soak up the seasonal atmosphere, and pick up something truly special this Christmas".
