CITIZENS Advice Wirral has appointed a new chair of trustees.
Karl Greaney will oversee the organisation's governance as it continues to provide 'vital support services to the Wirral community, empowering people to resolve their issues and move forward'.
Mr Greaney has been a member of the Trustee Board for over six years and, according to a spokesperson for the organisation, 'brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to this role'.
He has 13 years experience as a trustee director and board chair for various third sector organisations, including Wirral Development Trust and Wirral Play Council.
It is thought his expertise will be 'invaluable in helping Citizens Advice Wirral continue its mission of providing essential advice and social prescribing services across the Wirral'.
On his new role, Mr Greaney said: "I am deeply honoured to take on the role of chair of trustees for Citizens Advice Wirral, building on my years of involvement with the organisation and commitment to its mission.
"This organisation plays an important role in supporting individuals across the Wirral and I am excited to contribute to its future success by working closely with the board and the team of staff and volunteers to enhance the services our charity provides to the local community."
Carol Johnson-Eyre, chief executive officer of Citizens Advice Wirral, said: "We are thrilled to have such a dedicated individual chair our Board of Trustees.
"Karl's appointment comes at an exciting time for Citizens Advice Wirral.
"His leadership and vision will be key in guiding us through the challenges and opportunities ahead."
With Karl's appointment, Citizens Advice Wirral looks forward to continuing to support the health and wellbeing of local residents, ensuring that accessibility remains at the heart of its services.
