A CEREBAL palsy charity has launched an appeal for volunteers to help with fundraising events in the coming weeks.
Stick 'n' Step is looking for people to take part in various activities to help raise the £750,000 it needs to provide free weekly conductive education sessions to children and young people with cerebral palsy.
One of the events is the 5km Liverpool Santa Dash, which will take place on December 1 and is open to everyone.
Those interested can enter this community event and join #TeamSticknStep by emailing fundraising@sticknstep.org to receive a supporter T-shirt.
The charity is also asking for volunteers to help with bucket collections at major retail outlets across the region.
The collection dates include December 2 at Tesco, Bidston from 12pm to 2pm, December 3 at John Lewis, Trafford Centre from 7pm to 8pm, and December 9 at Tesco, Formby throughout the day.
The Cherry Tree Shopping Centre in Wallasey is once again holding its Give a Gift campaign until December 15 to support Stick 'n' Step.
Donations of new, unused, and unwrapped gifts can be placed in a giant, present-shaped box located on the mall.
The charity is also encouraging organisations to participate in Christmas Jumper Day on December 12.
Businesses and organisations are asked to wear their favourite festive jumper and make a donation to Stick 'n' Step.
Netty Doyle, regional fundraiser and family liaison officer at Stick 'n' Step, said: "This is a busy and often challenging time of year for everyone, and we appreciate more than ever our kind supporters who can help out by donating some funds, a little time, or a gift to help us support our wonderful children and their families."
Stick 'n' Step offers free weekly conductive education sessions to children and young people with cerebral palsy up to the age of 25.
