A NEW 'rock dive bar' has opened in Liverpool city centre.
Diego's Demise, located on Wood Street, has been opened by leisure group Pub Invest Group.
The bar promises to be "the ultimate in underground live rock music" with live bands and DJs.
They will also hold their own "Bandeoke" every Thursday, where people can perform with their house band.
The bar has a very specific drinks menu with flavoured tequila shots and margaritas, as well as a food menu with pizza and wings.
A spokesperson for Diego’s Demise said: "Diego’s Demise will prove to be the perfect spot for those in search of live music and events, in an iconic setting in a part of the city known for its love of rock music.
"Liverpool has been missing a dedicated rock bar for a while and following the success of our sister club K1 Metal Club, we decided it was time to launch the city’s latest dive bar.
"As the party season approaches, we look forward to a really busy opening, and we also know that clients are wanting to get the most out of their nights out, so we offer the very best in live music, ensuring that new acts and established artists get our crowds going.
"We have put together a great seven-day programme full of live rock alongside our daily drinks deals to ensure that everyone can have the best time.
"Let’s just say red ropes and VIP status aren’t really us - we are all about the most inclusive dive bar vibe."
