A self-taught pianist met his musical hero, Danny Elfman, in a memorable encounter.
Brad Kella, 22, who won Channel 4's The Piano, was introduced to Mr Elfman by Liverpool Philharmonic.
Mr Elfman, renowned for composing film scores for Tim Burton, was in Liverpool to work with the Philharmonic Orchestra, who performed his Percussion Concerto.
The meeting was arranged after Mr Kella expressed his admiration for Mr Elfman's work.
Mr Kella, from Liverpool, learned to play the piano while in foster care.
He is set to perform at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on November 29, while Elfman’s music will be showcased this Saturday.
