MERSEYRAIL has announced it will be operating a “reduced timetable” on one of its Wirral lines.
On Monday evening (November 11) the network informed passengers it would be making major changes to its timetables which came into place from today (Tuesday, November 12).
The changes, which are due to an increased number of train’s underdoing maintenance, have impacted the New Brighton and Headbolt Lane lines.
In a statement, Merseyrail said: “Our New Brighton and Headbolt Lane lines will be operating a reduced timetable on Tuesday 12 November, this is due to an increased number of trains undergoing maintenance.
“We are working with Stadler who are responsible for the maintenance of Merseyrail’s trains, to ensure a normal timetable can be restored on both lines as quickly as possible.
“The reduced timetable will operate from the start of service tomorrow.”
Services will run as follows:
Headbolt Lane line
A 30-minute service will run from start of service between Headbolt Lane and Liverpool city centre.
New Brighton line
A 30-minute service will run from start of service between New Brighton and Liverpool city centre.
