FILM crews have been spotted filming in Wirral this week.

Fackham Hall is a new feature film set in 1931 produced by Fackham Hall Productions Limited and written by comedian Jimmy Carr in his screenwriting feature debut with Patrick Carr and The Dawson Brothers

The British period comedy film is directed by Jim O’Halon and stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Thomasin McKenzie, Katherine Waterston, and Emma Laird.

Filming for the new film described as a “comedy pastiche on Downton Abbey” took place outside Thornton Hall yesterday (Thursday, November 7) and at St Georges Church on St Georges Way in Thornton Hough today (Friday, November 8).

Pictures from the set show actors filming scenes in period costumes and driving period vehicles.
