FILM crews will film in Wirral tomorrow (Friday, November 8) for Jimmy Carr’s feature debut British period comedy film, Fackham Hall.
Fackham Hall is a new feature film set in 1931 produced by Fackhamm Hall Productions Limited and written by comedian Jimmy Carr in his screenwriting feature debut with Patrick Carr and The Dawson Brothers
The British period comedy film is directed by Jim O’Halon and stars Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Thomasin McKenzie, Katherine Waterston, and Emma Laird.
Filming for the new film described as a “comedy pastiche on Downton Abbey” will take place at St Georges Church and St Georges Way in Thornton Hough.
It will feature period costumes and vehicles.
This will entail a stop and go traffic control with two to three minute traffic holds.
Traffic control will be in place from 9am until 3pm as well as a similar system for pedestrians.
To minimise the disruption the production will have people on hand to ensure pedestrian access to properties and businesses in between filming takes.
To facilitate filming, the crew will have vehicle clearance on St Georges Way from 9am to 3pm.
Filming will continue outside St George’s Church after 3pm until 4pm.
Dean Short, the location manager who is working on Fackham Hall, said: “School pick ups and collections can still happen between Thornton Hough pre-school and Thornton Hough Primary School.
“We are working with full help and support of the Liverpool Film Office. At all times we will be working to national industry guidelines written by the British Film Commission. At all times the health and safety of our crew and general public is of paramount importance.”
