Disney's Aladdin will make its debut at the Liverpool Empire Theatre this Christmas.
The musical, which has been performed on Broadway and the West End, will run from December 11 to January 5.
To celebrate the show's first trip to Liverpool and the launch of the Disney's Aladdin Lamp Trail, cast members Gavin Adams (Aladdin), Daisy Barnett (Jasmine), and Yeukayi Ushe (Genie) marked the occasion on November 5 by posing for photos next to a huge lamp at Liverpool One.
Mr Adams said: "If you want an evening of fun, laughter, maybe a few tears here and there, and some proper Disney magic, you should come and see our show."
Mr Ushe added: "There is something in the show for absolutely everyone of all ages.
"Come if you’ve seen the original film and enjoy the nostalgia.
"If it’s your first time coming to see a show what better show to see than one with so much magic in it?"
Families can take part in the Disney's Aladdin Liverpool Lamp Trail and be in with the chance of winning a family ticket for the show.
To enter the competition, families can collect a map from the trail points at all city centre Merseyrail stations and follow the trail to spot mini lamps around nine city centre locations.
They can then spell out the magical words, scan the QR code, and submit their entry.
The show features new music alongside songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice, including 'Friend Like Me', 'A Whole New World', 'Prince Ali', and 'Arabian Nights'.
