LT Print Group (LTP), a Wallasey-based printing company, has been bought by its finance director.

Andrew Whyte has taken over the business from Bob McWilliams, the former chairman who stepped down last month.

Mr Whyte said: "Bob had a wonderful career spanning over 64 years in the print and paper industries.

"Having established the origins of LT Print Group in 1981, he was proud that the business had grown in strength and expertise over the years due to the loyalty of our customers and staff.

"My task now is to maintain this legacy and ensure we continue to provide the very best service to our customers for many years to come."

The printing company has been in the UK print industry for more than 40 years and serves the UK's hospitality, events, education, and public sectors.

Mr Whyte added: "I'm obviously delighted to take the helm at LTP and am looking forward to supporting the team as we move forward.

"The UK print industry is at a critical juncture.

"There are a number of challenges we face in terms of rising costs, increasing demand for complex short-run jobs on short lead times, and a need for continued creativity and service excellence.

"This all means companies must invest to respond effectively to changing market and customer needs.

"My role at LTP is to ensure we are ready, relevant and responsive to our clients, always delivering the superb quality they expect from us.

"These are exciting times and we're up for the challenge."

LTP operates across the UK, offering design, digital and print services, including large format work, direct mail, and variable data capability, as well as online ordering for clients.
